Since 2008, Langlands & Associates Consulting Inc. has been providing services to early stage start-up companies as well as established biopharmaceutical companies in various aspects of the development of new medicines, including discovery pharmacology, non-clinical and clinical development, drug safety issues, regulatory affairs, project review and strategic planning.
John Langlands, President
John Langlands , Ph.D., is the President of Langlands & Associates Consulting Inc., and has 25 years experience in early stage biopharmaceutical companies with a broad experience in drug research and development, from discovery through to regulatory affairs and early clinical development.
John obtained his Ph.D from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland, and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He served in many roles in Preclinical Development and Clinical Development at Inflazyme Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He was Program Authority for the Postgraduate Programs in Pharmaceutical Medicine & Drug Development at the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia), which provides students with specialist training in many areas of the drug development industry.
Experience to Deliver
- Senior management roles in small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs), and acting independently to support SMEs in development of novel, innovative projects and products
- Preclinical and clinical translational medicine approaches to drug development, and integration of all aspects of the development life-cycle
- Establishing preclinical and clinical development plans (design, strategies, timelines and budgets), protocol preparation, trial conduct and reporting, and appropriate regulatory practices (GXPs), and developing related business plans
- Creating new approaches to answer questions, solve problems and challenge current thinking
- Mentorship leading to high productivity and high quality research and development teams covering diverse areas
